When pore strips first came out, I thought they were the greatest things invented. How awesome to be able to clean out your pores in one swift movement! I must have completely blocked out the reason why I quit using them to begin with.
A few nights ago, I was recovering from a *really* long day at work (although, let's be serious-all of my days at work are *really* long-usually a 14 hour day). Anyway, I thought I should treat myself to a little "grooming" and relaxation. I remembered the pore strips I had discovered when unpacking Ben's bathroom box. (Yep, Ben's box...)
I carefully read the directions (maybe something has changed from middle school?)
I put one one my nose, and one on my forehead, totally ready to experience the bliss of clear pores!
The most important part: "Let dry for about 10-15 minutes until stiff to the touch—like papier-mâché."

Our Cat
I am not much of a cat lover, but I do love my cat.
About 5 years ago, Ben and I had an ongoing joke that he was planning to buy me a blue Mustang (the car...) and for Christmas, I was surprised to find our sweet little Blue Persian named Mustang. Even better than a car!
Recently, I bought her a laser pointer to play with. I should have known better. Mustang is a smart cat. A little too smart. (Sorry about the video quality-it was taken from my cell phone)

Why Start a Blog?
Our big day! |
So, I don't really have a "theme" to my blog- just a typical day in the new Furman household. Which reminds me, I still need to change my name. It's not my fault...there is entirely too much paperwork, money, and time involved in changing your name. And forget about changing it with the board of nursing. I heard it's easier to re-take boards with a new name!
Anyway, back to my theme, or lack thereof... I'm sure something will come to mind as I write-something that will be interesting to read. For now, I will probably just post household projects and new recipes I have tried-terribly domestic, I know. If anything, I think it will be a fun way to document our first years of marriage- the good times and bad.
Random Quote: "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: It goes on" -Robert FrostOne of my favorite websites is Quote of the Day- where they display a new random quote each day. Sometimes I cheat and refresh the page if I don't like the quote they have on there.
Well, off to go grocery shopping- Exciting!!
