Christmas 2016

8:00 AM 0 Comments
As usual, our Christmas season was super busy! We tried to soak up every ounce of the excitement...it only comes once a year, and the kiddos won't be little forever.

Peyton's preschool puts on a wonderful Christmas program. I love watching the children sing and celebrate our God!

We have made a tradition of visiting Kinsey Family Farms to get our Christmas tree. The trees are always so beautiful and well taken care of!

The wreath and tree really made our holiday home. (The stockings....not so much! They are on the top of the list for next year!)

No Christmas season would be complete without decorating cookies and gingerbread houses. To no surprise, Peyton takes baking very seriously while Eliza would rather eat all the sprinkles. (Allllll the sprinkles).

On Christmas morning, we Ben continued the tradition of waking up at 4:00 am to get our day started. It always makes for a wonderful morning nap, though!

 Merry Christmas to all!!

Our Christmas 2015

7:00 AM 0 Comments
We had a wonderful Christmas this year! The whole season was magical to both kids, and we enjoyed several outings throughout the month.

So thankful that our Michigan family was here when we got our Christmas tree. Weren't they surprised by our 70 degree weather!

Our Santa visit went quite well!

On Christmas morning, we woke at 4:00am. Yup. That's a childhood tradition of the husband's. The good thing about waking up so early is a 3 hour family nap!

That's some Rapunzel hair!

And no 2015 Christmas is complete without a game of Pie Face!

I hope your Christmas season was filled with joy!

Christmastime

Every year, Christmas becomes more and more fun as Peyton gets older. I really think she "got it" this year as she had many conversations with us about how fun it is to give (and receive) gifts and the important birthday we were celebrating :)
For me, the best gift ever was being at home with my family. (My maternity leave time barely made it!)

On Christmas Eve, the kiddos and I decorated cookies with my BFF. This tradition has been ongoing for 19 years! Then we went to my parents house to enjoy a delicious dinner and gift exchange.

 Peyton's buddy :)

On Christmas morning, we broke tradition a little and got up at 7:00am (instead of 4:00am) so the minis would be well rested and in good moods! Oh the excitement as Peyton came down the stairs...y'all, there is nothing more precious than a little one on Christmas morning!

Because what kid wouldn't want a slide in the living room?!

Pure joy right here

My favorite gifts under the tree

This is what Eliza thought about it

After some breakfast, we made it to GiGi's house for dinner and more family time!

Snuggles from Great-Grandma Bea

Kiddie. Table. Because cousins are the best!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas spent with family and friends :)
