First Birthday Party!

I absolutely loved planning Peyton's first birthday party! Despite the fact that I was a little sad about this huge milestone, I was so excited about every little detail.

For our Junebug, I went with a "girly bug" theme! Think caterpillars, butterflies, and ladybugs in pink, yellow & green!

I had a friend of mine take pictures of the party, and it was the best decision ever. It was so nice to actually enjoy the festivities without worrying about capturing it all! And Whitney has some mad camera skills :)

I found the perfect invites via Etsy: Sassy Alice Stationery

We served:
Poppyseed Ham & Cheese sliders (recipe), Butterfly PB&J, Caterpillar Kabobs, Butterfly Pasta, and Garden Food with ranch

Smash Cake via Creations Bakery

I found this awesome caterpillar tunnel and the kiddos LOVED it! It was a perfect party activity for little ones!

For the monthly picture display, I made a "garden" out of Styrofoam and moss and added little Peyton "flowers"! I loved looking back at each month and seeing just how much P has changed.

My girl sure did enjoy that cake!

For party favors, I decided to go way simple: water bottles with packets to make lemonade stuffed inside! I hope it will keep all of our little bugs hydrated this summer :)

What a great time we had celebrating our Peyton Caroline! It was so nice to see so many of our friends and family in attendance, and it truly warms my heart to know so many people love and care about our Junebug!

  1. This is truly a spectacular party. That cake looks so delicious. Anyhow, I am also making plans for my daughter’s 1st birthday celebration at some domestic Chicago venues. I am having really tough time in finding some level headedly priced spots. Could you please share references?
