Savannah: Day 4

On Sunday morning, we had a delicious artichoke quiche, roasted potatoes, sausage links, and a slice of watermelon. We finished packing our bags and saying goodbye to everyone. I snapped a few pictures of the inn.

After checking out, we walked back to River St. to enjoy some shops and even more sightseeing!
This is a spot along River St. where you stand and your voice sounds like you are speaking through a megaphone. There are some low walls, but otherwise no apparent reason why this happens. But it is SO cool! (Across from the Life is Good store)

Back in the car for our road trip home (and NO tickets!). Sunday was our actual anniversary (May 15)- I couldn't believe that we were already celebrating one year! I told Ben that I felt like we have done some math wrong along the way and we couldn't possibly be at one year!
A little back story: We had a morning ceremony and reception (10:30am) for our wedding. By the time we left, drove to Atlanta and checked in to our hotel for our "mini-moon" we were exhausted! When deciding where to go for our wedding night dinner, the thought of getting dressed up and fancy was not appealing. So, we figured we should take in all of the city of Atlanta and eat at The Varsity. : )

On our way home from from Savannah, we had to stop in at The Varsity to enjoy an anniversary dinner. We ordered the same meal, and ate in the same room.

Eating the top layer of our cake. To our surprise, it was moist (not crunchy!) and very tasty.

Well, that wraps up our trip to Savannah. It was such a great way to celebrate one year of marriage and we hope to go back again.
Special thanks to my MIL for taking care of the girls while we were away and to my Mom for taking Rowen to the beauty shop!
